Almost

I am almost done and then I have a whole week off!!!!!
There is absolutely nothing going on here. The only thing I have left to do is wash my coffee cup....

I am trying to find something interesting to do this last hour at work, but there is absolutely nothing to do. I am all burned out since I had to finish everything for the month by today so I am done with work.

Greece just beat France!!!! What's going on? First Germany, then England and now France?
Oh well.
I got a long Friday today so I'll be here for a little longer. Good though, since it's raining like crazy outside and I wouldn't want to leave now anyways.

Yet another game

Well in the first match of the quarter finals England is playing Portugal right now. England already scored in the 2nd minute. This time it wasn't Rooney but Owen......finally.

Still Cranky

I'm still cranky today. So my motivation to post anything is very low. Plus what is there to post now? No more interesting soccer and everything else just seems so depressing.

13 minutes to go and Germany is behind the Czechs 2:1. They need to win since the Dutch are winning. Damn it. I wish I could just scream here but I think the people in my office would think I'm nuts.

Not to go home but for the BIG GAME!!!!
I hope Germany makes it to the next round. If not, they probably deserved it.

Important Day

Today is a very important day. By this afternoon it will be decided if Germany makes it into the next round. They have to play the Czech Republic. They don't have to win if the Netherlands or Latvia doesn't win but if they have a tie, though it'll be better for Germany to win to ensure the advancement.

About an hour ago or so my back started hurting like hell. No matter how I sit it hurts. Only when I stand it feels somewhat ok, but that is kind of impossible until I get off work. I hate that. Somebody's gotta have to rub my back tonight.......

A slaughterhouse in China is giving pigs showers, saunas and massages before chopping them up.

I don't see the sense in that at all. I'm sure that wouldn't satisfy PETA either, but if it makes them happy, I guess go ahead.
Funny though, but maybe they taste better because they die a little more relaxed. I don't know. I prefer not to know what the animal I am eating enjoyed or not right before it was electrocuted and chopped up. I just want to eat it.

Independence Air started to fly out of DC last week or so and they will start servicing Jacksonville, FL on July 1st. I booked a flight for my oldest stepdaughter who lives in Florida so she can come up July 4th weekend. Just $89 including taxes etc. Cool, huh?
She is also coming up since we'll have her little babygirl the week before and she was kind of scared of having her grandmother, my mother-in-law, drive back with just her and the baby.
This summer is kind of complicated. Or at least the first part of it.
This is the first week of summer break and we sent the lovely stepson to his grandma's. My husband and his mom met half-way between us and her (also Florida) in South Carolina. I had to stay home to record the best race ever. But when we trade off kids and grandkids (his not mine) this weekend I'll go too!!! So, we'll have a mini-vacation hotel-stay-thingie in Savannah, GA on Saturday. We were going to book a hotel room in Hilton Head yesterday but for 200 dollars it wasn't worth it, considering we'll be tired on Saturday from all that driving and have to get up early on Sunday to go back home.
So Savannah will be ok.
Then after all hat summer school starts for my (step)son and the teenager (!!!!) will hang out at our old neighbor's since she'll have somebody to hang out with. She is waiting to start working so that'll hopefully start soon..

Tuesday Morning

It's Tuesday already!!!! Just three more mornings and that's it.
I am kind of tired this morning though. I should try and go to bed earlier tonight.
Nothing really else is going on....I think.

Ok, so Engalnd beat Croatia 4:2 and France beat Switzerland 3:1. So, England and France made it to the next round. England will have to play Portugal on the 24th and France is facing Greece on the 25th.
Todays matches are Italy vs Bulgaria and Denmark vs. Sweden.

What is going on in Portugal.
I missed the first 15 minutes and had to decide which match I want to listen to. So, I picked the Croatia-England game. Croatia already scored!!! Then, at least Zidane put France in the lead against Switzerland but they already scored too. What the hell?
I wish I had a TV and could watch this.

Nice weekend

I had a really nice weekend. It was very relaxing and the weather was just great yesterday. We had a nice Father's Day with the obligatory PS2 game for my husband (He's a child at heart). He was very excited to schedule the delivery of the new pool table. It'll get here next week.
I also realized that I am off next week and we will drive down to Savannah on Saturday to spend the night. I can't wait to just do NOTHING!!!!!
